Koto 箏 13 Strings

Koto 箏 13 Strings
Japanese stringed musical instrument. Koto are about 180 centimetres (71 inch) in lenght and made from Paulownia tomentosa wood.
There are different variants with 17 and more strings (Bass koto). Initially, Koto was not specific to the zither. The most famous 13 page zither ultimately claimed the name Koto. There is also a Japanese "original zither" (the wagon) and some other related zither that could prove the origin. These zithers are popular in China, Korea and Vietnam. I will introduce them little by little.
