shoji can be a door (sliding door),
a window or a room divider.
As a rule, Shōji were used along the outer walls.
Since they are translucent, the interior of the building
could always be supplied with daylight,
but was protected from insight.
With Shoji doors it is possible
that the sounds of nature,
the shadows of the trees
and the fresh air from the mountains,
or the sea,
become part of the house.
In summer you can remove the paper.
In storms or in winter there are protective plates
that can be hung in front of the Shoji.
I wanted to make a Shoji background or two, in the end there were over 80 models because I couldn't choose one :-).
