I'm currently working on part 3 (gagaku stages) for my Gagaku series.
For this I model a few historically important Gagaku stages.
Tsurugaoka Hachimangū 鶴 岡 八 幡 宮 is the most important Shinto shrine in the city of Kamakura, and this Kaguraden 神楽殿 stage has been one of the most important stages of the Minamoto clan.
The stage is used for Kagura (shinto ceremonies) dance and singing, for music events and it is very popular as a wedding location.
It is my first larger traditional Japanese building that I model, it was very interesting and I learned a lot from it.
The dimensions are not 100% correct because I did not use a scale program (only pictures) but I tried to work as close as possible to the original.
You can find out what all this is about these stages and why they can be found in temples and shrines in my upcoming Gagaku Stage Video next time. Stay curious
