TRIPITAKA KOREANA 고려 대장경 - 高麗大藏經 Haeinsa Temple (해인사, 海印寺)

The Tripitaka Koreana is an edition of the Buddhist canon carved into wooden blocks in the 13th century. A masterpiece of art.
Stored in 4 Halls Jangkyeongpanjeon in the Haeinsa Temple, South Korea.

While researching Korean instruments I came across photos of the Tripitaka Koreana. I was immediately overwhelmed by the sight, all this knowledge and the art, made in carving, all united in 4 halls.

I really wanted to know what it feels like to stand in these halls, as Korea is very far away for me and it is actually not possible to enter the halls, so I built this 3D model. I tried to stay as close as possible to the original layout so that anyone who wants to can enjoy this atmosphere.

Tripitaka Koreana is part of the list UNESCO HERITAGE SITE
