The typewriter was selected as one of the 10 most influential patents by the Japan Patent Office.
I got excited about this machine when I was looking for the Taischokoto (Developed 1912) musical instrument. The Taishokoto is always assigned a resemblance to typewriters.
For me the roller structure is very nice, like a spaceship floating in the orbit of the mechanics.
