Sheng 笙 series - Mawangdui Tombs - Lady Dai Coffin - 馬王堆 - 辛追 棺材

This is a hobby project about
the history of the Sheng
and the impact of their Free Reed technique
on European, American, Indian and Japanese
musical instruments.

In the tombs of Mawangdui, ~200BC
2 Yu (large Sheng) instruments were found.
These 2 Yu are a very important part
of Sheng history.

One Yu was found in the side chambers
of Lady Dai's coffin in Tomb No. 1.

I have made a 3D model of the 3 tomb shafts
and the coffin in Tomb No. 1.

For this I read reports on the internet
about the structure and condition
of the terrain and the coffin
and tried to combine this information
to a 3D model.

I would like to share my result
to maybe help you with your research
on the Mawangdui tombs.
