Research Checklist for My Sheng Project

During my research on Sheng history and Free Reed history in Europe, USA, India, Korea and Japan, (2022-2023) I have built several Free Reed 3D models of instruments and speech machines that have marked an important milestone in Free Reed development.

I will publish the 3D models on Artstation as renders, important models will be uploaded to Sketchfab for you to study by yourself, accompanied by Sheng series videos on my YouTube channel.

To make it easier to understand my project, I have collected a list of the most important sources here.

Researching and modeling the history of sheng and free reeds over the course of a year has amassed a lot of material, so it will take some time until all parts of the project are published, please be patient it will be exciting.
