방향 方響 Banghyang METALLOPHONE Korea Music

The banghyang is constructed with 16 rectangular iron slabs. Today the instrument is only used in performances of Royal Ancestral Shrine music. Each slab is identical in length and width but the thickness of the slabs are different, thus creating the 16 different pitches.
