Guqin, or qin. 古琴 (chinese ancient zither)

Guqin, or qin. 古琴
One of the oldest zither in Asia. It is mentioned as early as 1000 BC in the Chinese book of songs Shijing. The original qin had 5 strings representing fire, water, earth, metal and wood. Together with the Guzeng and the Yatga, these zithers had a very large influence on the many other zithers in the Asian region.
