In this series, you'll learn the incredible life story of Jacob Estey, who was born in Hinsdale, New Hampshire, in 1814 and died in Brattleboro, Vermont, in 1890.

Summary: Jacob Estey was given up for adoption at the age of 4, was beaten by his adoptive family, fled to another state at the age of 13, learned the plumbing trade at the age of 17, went to Brattleboro at the age of 21 where he took over a small plumber's shop, built a large plumber's shop building in Brattleboro in 1850, joined the Free Reed organ business in 1852, built a Free Reed organ factory after a fire in 1857, built a new factory at a different location in Brattleboro after another fire. The new location was flooded, Estey built another new factory at a new location which became the largest organ factory in the world. The Estey Organ Company built over 500,000 Free Reed organs.
