Gottan ごったん (solid wood japanese cedar)

Gottan ごったん also know as:
Box Shamisen/Board Shamisen , Hako Shamisen,/Ita Shamisen

The Gottan is a traditional Japanese string instrument. Very high similarity to the well-known sanshin and the shamisen, but still very independent. The gottan is made of solid wood, mostly Japanese cedar.
Some folk songs are played with the Gottan.
