Gagaku Dance Stage - Yasaka Jinja Shrine 八坂神社 舞殿

The stage of gagaku at Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto. The hall is slightly larger than the usual gagaku stage, and is also used for other music and dance performances.

This shrine is world-famous for the annual Gion Festival and is also called Gion-san.

Impressive and unusual are the many lanterns hung under the roof outside the stage, creating a unique atmosphere.

A total of about 292 lanterns are hung in the three rows of lanterns. There are independent hanging tools on both sides, and the hanging tools are separated in the middle on the long side where the stairs are located.
By adjusting the height of the rows, you can create a different atmosphere and ensure the visibility of the audience.

京都の八坂神社にある雅楽の舞台。通常の雅楽の舞台よりも少し大きめのホールで、他の音楽やダンスの公演にも使われています。

この神社は、毎年行われる祇園祭で世界的に有名で、祇園さんとも呼ばれています。

印象的で珍しいのは、ステージの外側の屋根の下に吊るされたたくさんのランタンで、独特の雰囲気を醸し出しています。

3列の提灯には、合計約292個の提灯が吊るされています。両サイドには独立した吊り具があり、階段がある長辺では吊り具が途中で分かれています。
列の高さを調整することで、異なる雰囲気を演出したり、観客の視界を確保したりすることができます。
