Mashrokitha מִשׁרוֹקַיתָא

Mashrokitha מִשׁרוֹקַיתָא

The Mashrokithah is only mentioned in Daniel 3:5-7-10-15.
The Mashrokitha is described in various Bible translations as a pipe, double pipe, pan, syrinx or a type of organ.

The little information only allows speculation.

In the Musurgia universalis by Athanasius Kircher in 1650 one of the first drawings appears of what a Mashrokitha might have looked like.
This drawing by Kircher is copied several times (incorrectly) in music books.
