The first free reed organ to be built with sucker wind bellows was called the Improved Melodeon and was developed by Jeremiah Carhart, George A. Prince and Elias Parkman Needham in Buffalo New York in 1847.
The US Patent No. 4,912 is one of the most important patents in the history of the American Free Reed Organ.
